Dr Dinesh Selvakumar is an interventional cardiologist with advanced training in the minimally invasive treatment of complex coronary artery disease. He has specific expertise in the use of intravascular imaging to personalise stent implantation, and underwent dedicated training in the the procedural treatment of chronically occluded coronary arteries.
Dinesh completed specialist cardiology training at Westmead Hospital, followed by a PhD in stem cell therapy for heart disease. His research earned him numerous accolades including the CSANZ Young Investigator Award. He then undertook a dedicated fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Royal North Shore Hospital before embarking on subspeciality training in complex coronary interventions through a prestigious fellowship at the University of Toronto.
