Dr Emily Ryan

Dr Emily Ryan is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon practising in Hobart across the public and private sectors. She is the Director of the Tasmanian Statewide Burn Injury Service at Royal Hobart Hospital and the primary surgeon for public breast reconstruction.

Her practice includes breast reconstruction, skin cancer and complex wounds, hand surgery, trauma, and burns. She consults privately in Battery Point and operates at Hobart Private Hospital.

Dr Ryan completed her specialist training in Western Australia and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS Plast) in 2023. She also completed a Breast Reconstruction Fellowship at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Sydney.

She is committed to patient-centred, evidence-based care and welcomes referrals, aiming to provide timely access and continuity of care.
