Dr Eric Hadinata

Dr Eric Hadinata is an Addiction Medicine Specialist and co-chair of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Committee at RACGP Victoria. He is a strong advocate for the vital role of General Practice in supporting Australians, especially those affected by substance use. His journey began as a GP in Geelong with a special interest in addiction, which led to a specialisation in Addiction Medicine.

Dr Hadinata completed his specialist training at Western Health, Victoria’s largest public Addiction Medicine centre. This experience included inpatient and outpatient care, with expertise in multi-substance use, co-occurring mental health conditions, driving assessments, and rehabilitation planning. He brought that expertise to The Victoria Clinic, combining clinical excellence with the comfort of a modern private hospital.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Hadinata is active in research and education, with published work in peer-reviewed journals and a passion for mentoring the next generation of clinicians. He is committed to advancing the field of Addiction Medicine through his contributions to research and his dedication to educating future healthcare professionals.
