Dr Farah Qayyum graduated from the University of Health Sciences, Lahore in Pakistan. She is fellow of Physician and surgeons Pakistan since 2016. After completing her training, Dr Farah worked as an Assistant Professor until 2018, when she moved to England to undertake further training as a Fellow in Gastroenterology and General Medicine at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, in Lincolnshire.
Farah moved to Australia in 2021 with her family. She has public appointments at John Hunter Hospital and Maitland Public Hospital. She has admitting rights at Hunter Valley Private Hospital and Newcastle Private Hospital.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Farah is also a conjoint lecturer at the university of Newcastle, and she is currently undertaking a Masters in Perioperative Medicine from Monash University Melbourne.
Dr Farah values the provision of holistic care, and involves all allied health professions to optimise outcomes for her patients.
