Dr Genevieve Bishop

Dr Genevieve Bishop is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over a decade of experience providing compassionate and personalised care to women of all ages. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney and did the majority of her Obstetric and gynaecological training at RPAH, as well as a year at Pelvic Floor Unit at St George Hospital. She then had a successful private practice on the Gold Coast before moving back to Sydney.

She has extensive experience in both high- and low-risk pregnancies. She advocates for all birth types, emphasising a safe and empowering experience for mothers. Dr Bishop also provides preconception counselling and pregnancy planning.

Her gynaecological expertise focuses on pelvic floor disorders (including prolapse) and continence issues in women of all ages and furthermore has a particular interest in the management of perimenopause and menopause. She also manages heavy bleeding, abnormal pap smears, ovarian cysts, PCOS and pelvic pain and endometriosis.

She is committed to delivering personalised and holistic medical and surgical care to help women achieve optimal well-being and a fulfilling life.
