Dr Geoffrey Collins

Dr Geoffrey Collins is a Colorectal and General Surgeon at Newcastle Private Hospital. He graduated from the University of Sydney Medical School in 2011 and trained in General Surgery in Western Sydney and regional NSW. He completed a research fellowship at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research (WIMR) and worked as a Staff Specialist General Surgeon at Westmead Hospital before completing subspecialty training in Colorectal Surgery under the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).

He completed accredited fellowships at John Hunter Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital, with a strong focus on Robotic Colorectal Surgery. He prides himself on clear, open communication and a friendly, empathetic approach to his patients.
