Dr Hareeshan Nandakoban

Dr Hari Nandakoban is a specialist renal physician that works with the team at Macarthur Urology and also as a renal specialist in Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals. He is a trained interventional kidney specialist and performs dialysis vascular access, percutaneous PD catheter insertions and renal biopsy as part of the interventional team at Liverpool Hospital.

He has a special interest in the management of hypertension, prevention of kidney stones and overall management of chronic kidney disease. He is able to care for those needing dialysis in the public hospital system, through South West Sydney Local Health District, and also in private dialysis units within the South West of Sydney. Kidney transplantation is also offered through close relationships with Westmead and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals.

Dr Nandakoban is currently the Network Director of Physician Education for the Liverpool Network which includes Liverpool, Fairfield and The Tweed Hospitals. He is a Conjoint Lecturer of the University of New South Wales. Over the years he has been awarded the AMA (NSW) Teacher of the Year, and Liverpool Hospital Staff Member of the Year for dedication to medical education and services to the hospital. He undertook most of his specialist training at Liverpool and Concord Hospitals and is dedicated to providing quality care to the South West of Sydney.
