Dr Harendran Elangovan

Dr Harendran (Hari) Elangovan is a clinical and academic gastroenterologist with subspecialty interests in the management of liver disease. Hari graduated with first class honours and distinction awards from the medical program at UNSW, Sydney. He subsequently completed physician training, winning the Bryan Hudson AO medal for achieving first place in Australia and New Zealand in the RACP Fellowship examinations.

Hari’s Gastroenterology training was completed across major academic centres in Queensland (The Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Queensland Liver Transplant unit) and Sydney (Westmead Hospital). Hari is widely published in liver diseases and is currently completing a PhD in the field concurrently with his clinical duties. Hari is nationally accredited to provide diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy.
