He also has fellowship training in shoulder and orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Educational background and early career: Jason graduated from the University of Queensland in 2011 and spent five years working as a hospital and non-training orthopaedic registrar before beginning the Victorian Orthopaedic Training Program, which he completed in 2021.
Advanced training and fellowships: In 2022 he further developed his skills through a fellowship in Melbourne with Professor John O’Donnell in hip arthroscopy and total hip replacement via the direct anterior approach. He then completed an advanced training fellowship in Edinburgh, UK, where he gained expertise in complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted joint replacement procedures. Upon returning to Australia in 2023, Jason undertook a further advanced arthroplasty, sports, shoulder and trauma surgery fellowship on the NSW central coast with Dr Ed Bateman.
