Dr Jennifer Mitchell

Dr Mitchell moved to Darwin at the beginning of 1997 to finish her last two years of specialist training at Royal Darwin Hospital.  On completion of her specialist training, she was able to take over a private Obstetric and Gynaecological Practice at DPH.

Dr Mitchell has now been working privately at DPH for over 21 years. 

She has also provided services to the public in the way of Specialist Outreach services with regular visits to Arnhem Land and Groote Eylandt communities for 13 years, finishing last year. 

Dr Mitchell has enjoyed participating in the life journey of many women and families through the birth of their children and ongoing gynaecological care over many years.  It has been a very rewarding career to date and she hopes it will continue for some time to come.
