Dr Jessica Yao

Dr Jessica Yao obtained her Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the University of Melbourne. She then completed her basic physician training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, followed by specialist cardiology training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Eastern Health and Grampians Health.

She is currently undertaking a PhD in Cardio-obstetrics at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital, supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the National Heart Foundation (NHF) postgraduate research scholarships.

Her research is focussed on understanding the long-term cardiovascular consequences of women who have had preeclampsia. Jess is a General Medicine consultant and a part-time Cardiac Imaging fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
