Dr Komal Jayaraman

Dr Komal Jayaraman is a Consultant Psychiatrist with strong clinical leadership experience in Old Age Psychiatry, developed through her work in community mental health services. She is experienced in comprehensive psychiatric assessment, multidisciplinary care, and evidence-based management of complex mental illness in older adults.

Dr Jayaraman completed her MD in Psychiatry at Madras Medical College, Chennai, in 2015 and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) in 2022. She is currently undertaking further advanced training in Psychiatry of Old Age. She is fluent in English and Tamil.

Her clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, personality disorders and psychotic disorders. She also has a strong interest in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Jayaraman is involved in research and has published in reputable journals. She is passionate about promoting mental health, reducing stigma, and maintaining contemporary practice through ongoing professional development.
