Dr Krishanth Naidu is an Australian-trained colorectal and general surgeon, and a Staff Specialist at The Canberra Health Services. He is available for public and private referrals.
Dr Naidu is a RACS qualified general surgeon who went on to complete subspeciality training in colorectal surgery through the highly acclaimed CSSANZ training programme. This included a fellowship in complex colorectal cancer resections at the John Goligher Colorectal Unit in St James’s University Hospital (Leeds, United Kingdom). In addition, he completed a Master of Surgery (Surgical Skills) as well as a PhD which focused on quality in colorectal cancer surgery through the University of Sydney.
He is committed to evidence-based, patient-centred care, and takes pride in practising minimally-invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery to allow for holistic surgical care. Also, he speaks Malay and Tamil.
Research and surgical education
Dr Naidu has authored and reviewed numerous peer reviewed publications and book chapters, with his research spanning colorectal cancer surgery, surgical quality, lymphatic mapping, inflammatory bowel disease, and emergency general surgery. He also serves as a clinical lecturer with both the Australian National University and University of Sydney.
