Dr Krishneel Dutt

Dr Krishneel (Krish) Dutt is a dedicated gastroenterologist, recognized as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). His practice is built on a foundation of extensive clinical training, a passion for research, and a commitment to advancing patient care in gastroenterology.

Krish’s medical journey began at the University of Sydney, where he earned a Bachelor of Medical Science. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne and completed basic and advanced training in gastroenterology at major tertiary hospitals, including Eastern and Austin Health, where he gained invaluable experience in managing complex gastroenterological conditions. His key areas of clinical focus include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), general hepatology, and endoscopy.

Though his main area of interest is in inflammatory disease, including Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis, he is passionate and well versed in managing many gastrointestinal disorders including coeliac disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disorders and provides services in endoscopy (colonoscopy and gastroscopy, FibroScan and intestinal ultrasound.

A passionate researcher, Krish is currently undertaking a PhD at Monash University via Eastern Health, investigating the association between inflammatory bowel disease and metabolic dysfunction. He has a proven track record as a sub-investigator in IBD clinical trials and has authored numerous publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. His research has been presented at prominent national and international conferences.

Outside of work and research, Krish enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid sports lover and golfer (though with a shocking handicap!).
