Dr Kuhendra Balakrishnan (Bala)

Dr Kuhendra Balakrishnan is a dual-trained Cardiologist and General Physician. Dr Bala focusses on cardiac imaging. 

Dr Bala graduated from The University of Melbourne and completed his advanced training in Cardiology and General Medicine at the Austin Hospital and Launceston General Hospital. Subsequently, he undertook a non-invasive cardiac imaging fellowship focusing on echocardiography and cardiac CT at Monash Heart.

Dr Bala manages a wide variety of adult cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease and cardiac risk assessment, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, hypertension and dyslipidemia.

The combination of dual specialist training in Cardiology and General Medicine enables Dr Bala to provide comprehensive care plans tailoring specialist cardiology treatment to patients with complex medical conditions.  As well as providing a high standard of holistic and individualised care, he prides himself on educating his patients about their condition to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
