Lalla graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2005, receiving the Alexander Bryce Award for work on the fetal origins of adult disease. Alongside Medicine, she also studied International Health at University College London in 2003 and was considered for the Lancet International Health Essay Prize.
Always passionate about obstetrics and gynaecology, she underwent specialist training in both the UK and Australia. She completed advanced training in maternal fetal medicine, focusing on high risk pregnancies, before an Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES) fellowship in advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, during which time she received the AGES/AAGL presentation award.
Lalla works at both the Royal Hospital for Women and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. She regularly makes active contributions to education, research and clinical services, and was recognised with the Staff Contribution Award in the Public hospital. She is committed to life-long learning, and always looks to provide evidence-based care in the context of good communication and collaboration.
Recognising the opportunities to have a positive impact on women’s health across obstetrics and gynaecology, Lalla feels privileged to work as part of a team that prioritises the patient and provides the highest level of care.
