Dr Matt McKnoulty

Dr Matthew McKnoulty is a compassionate and experienced gynaecologist and fertility specialist dedicated to providing personalised, evidence-based care for women at every stage of life. He believes exceptional healthcare begins with listening and takes pride in creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.

Dr Matt was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2022 after extensive training across South East Queensland. He completed a highly competitive Advanced Laparoscopy and Fertility position at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, gaining advanced experience in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, fertility care, and colposcopy.

Alongside private practice, Dr Matt works as a Staff Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Redcliffe Hospital, where he helps train future specialists. He regularly supervises RANZCOG trainees and junior doctors and is passionate about medical education, including participating in hospital accreditation processes that support high-quality gynaecology training across Australia.

Through caring for patients with fertility challenges in the public system, Dr Matt developed a strong passion for helping individuals and couples navigate their fertility journey. As both an obstetrician and a father, he understands the significance of building a family and has pursued additional training in fertility medicine to better support patients through every stage of their reproductive journey.

Committed to delivering the best possible care, Dr Matt maintains an active interest in research and women’s health innovation. He has multiple first-author publications and enjoys mentoring junior doctors in research and professional development.

Outside medicine, Dr Matt enjoys spending time with his family. Life with two young boys and a surgeon wife means there is rarely a quiet moment, whether in the garden, by the pool, at the beach, or enjoying time with friends and family.
