Dr Nicole Potasz

Dr Nicole Potasz is a medical oncologist specialising in the management of breast cancer. She obtained her medical degree from Monash University, graduating in 1994 before undertaking physician training at The Alfred. She undertook a year of research fellowship at The Ludwig Institute, Austin Health before obtaining her fellowship to the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2003.

Dr Potasz’s main interest is the treatment of breast cancer with a particular focus on quality of life after a breast cancer diagnosis and supportive care. She has over 20 years’ experience in caring for patients with early stage and advanced cancer including palliative care. She is a member of Breast Cancer Trials (BCT) Australia, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology and Medical Oncology Group of Australia. She is involved in clinical trial research and has been a principal investigator for several local and international research studies.
