Dr Nyasha Magoche

Dr Nyasha Magoche is an Acute and General Medicine Physician at Sunnybank Private Hospital, accepting patients under the full scope of General Medicine, day infusion and perioperative medicine.

Dr Magoche trained at University College Dublin and graduated in 2006 with MBCHB and BAO. She worked in the Republic of Ireland for four years after graduation during which time she commenced basic physician training. She emigrated to Australia in 2010 and continued her training across several hospitals in Queensland. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018. She was also awarded the RACP Diploma of Palliative care.

Dr Magoche highly values working collaboratively with General Practitioners and other Specialists to provide comprehensive care to people suffering complex and multiple medical conditions.

Perioperative Medicine

Dr Magoche accepts both inpatient and outpatient referrals. Inpatient referrals via direct call from treating Surgeons. Outpatient referrals via any of the referral gateways listed above.

Support includes, but not limited to

• Pre-operative assessment and management of medical comorbidities such as Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Anaemia etc

• Management of peri-operative complications such as pneumonia, venous thrombo-embolism, pulmonary oedema etc

Day infusion therapy

Dr Magoche is also able and happy to facilitate infusions and transfusions through the Day Infusion Unit at Sunnybank Private Hospital. These include

• Iron infusions

• Blood transfusions

• ivIg
