Dr Praka Sundaralingam is an experienced Interventional Gastroenterologist specializing in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006 and completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015. Dr. Sundaralingam further advanced his expertise with an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He is a Visiting Medical Officer at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Public Hospitals and works at several private hospitals in Sydney.
Dr Sundaralingam is able to manage a wide range of gastroenterological disorders including:
Bowel cancer screening (including via National Bowel Screening program).
Irritable bowel symptoms, iron deficiency, inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease.
Endoscopic screening for Barrett’s oesophagus, pancreatic cysts, pancreatic cancer, and bowel cancer.
Endoscopic diagnosis, staging, and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers such as oesophageal, gastric, bile duct, pancreatic.
Interventional endoscopy techniques including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic retrograde choliangiopancreatography (ERCP) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR).
