Dr Raj Shetty

Dr Shetty is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of global experience in trauma, arthroplasty, and limb reconstruction. He is accredited by AHPRA and has trained extensively in both India (PGI Chandigarh) and Australia, including AOA-accredited fellowships in trauma, arthroplasty, and limb reconstruction at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital. Dr Shetty has worked in the Territory for 14 years and has a strong understanding of the unique challenges specific to the region and its patient population.

Dr Shetty is committed to providing timely, collaborative, and patient-centred orthopaedic care. He values close collaboration with general practitioners and multidisciplinary teams and recognises their integral role in achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Dr Shetty’s areas of special interest include complex trauma and limb reconstruction, primary hip and knee arthroplasty (aiming to provide direct anterior hip arthroplasty in Darwin in the near future), knee and shoulder arthroscopy, sports injuries and general orthopaedics, including acute trauma.
