Clinical Haematology

Dr Renee Squires is a clinical haematologist at Icon Cancer Centre Southport. In 2008, she completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at James Cook University and then commenced specialist training in haematology, bone marrow transplantation and haematology pathology at Townsville Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Sullivan and Nicolaides Pathology. She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA).

Dr Squires is experienced in caring for a wide range of malignant and non-malignant blood disorders including leukaemia, lymphoma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative disorders, multiple myeloma, apheresis, haemoglobinopathies and thrombosis. She also has experience in managing women’s health, obstetric haematology, clotting and bleeding disorders in addition to autologous and allogenic stem cell transplantation and apheresis procedures.

Dr Renee Squires is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients. As a female haematologist, Dr Squires is passionate about women’s haematology and providing care for obstetric conditions, clotting and bleeding disorders.
