Dr Santiago Draghi

Dr Santiago Draghi is an Australian-Argentinian surgeon with dual qualification in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery holding fellowship level qualifications in both Argentina and Australia with 20 years of experience. After finishing medical school in Argentina and obtaining a medical degree in Spain, he gained a position in a very competitive training programme in Buenos Aires. He has undergone a number of additional subspecialty training programs including Paediatric Otolaryngology as well as Otology, Neurotology and lateral skull base surgery. He has also received training in Barcelona, Spain, and Los Angeles, U.S.  Dr Draghi obtained further training prior to recieving his Australian qualifications in St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and in Monash Health in Melbourne.

He has worked across Australia for the last 9 years, including regional areas such as Launceston and Toowoomba and Newcastle.  Having worked in different regions in Australia, Dr Draghi has learnt about diversity and the needs of the general population, not just in the area of his expertise but also in general ENT.

Dr. Draghi has a passion for teaching medical students, junior doctors and specialist doctors in training (Paediatric Otolaryngology) as a means of providing to his community through education and continual professional development.  He has also participated in meetings in different countries and in publications, including manuals and books. 

He has participated in numerous meetings, publications and books, sharing his experience mainly in the area of Paediatric Otolaryngology, Otology and Cochlear implants. 

Dr. Draghi has moved to Sydney and has admitting privileges at Norwest Private Hospital in Sydney and Hunter Valley Private Hospital in Newcastle.

Outside of work Dr Draghi enjoys spending time with his partner, family, friends and his pets.  He’s also a music enthusiast, a piano player and enjoys food, wine and travelling.
