Dr Sarah Emmett is an Australian trained Otolaryngologist Head and Neck Surgeon. She was born and educated in Brisbane, completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2012, and a Masters of Philosophy at the University of Queensland and the Queensland Institute of Medical Research in 2017. Dr Emmett completed her training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Adelaide; and was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Following this, she undertook additional sub-speciality training in Laryngology and Neuro-laryngology in Sydney at the Dr Liang Voice Program (University of Sydney) with Associate Professors Daniel Novakovic and Cate Madill.
Dr Emmett is actively involved in ongoing clinical research. She has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and presented her research at national meetings. Dr Emmett is also regularly involved in teaching of registrars and junior doctors, and is on the Board of the Laryngological Society of Australasia.
Dr Emmett has comprehensive training in all aspects of paediatric and adult ENT conditions and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to all patients. Her specific interests include management of voice, airway and swallowing problems, office-based procedures, neurological disorders of the larynx and care of the professional voice. She also enjoys treating children’s ENT conditions.
