Dr Sasikaran Nalliah

Dr Nalliah is a specialist General Surgeon who has the special interest in advanced laparoscopy, abdominal hernias, colorectal surgery and gallbladder surgery. Further, he is a highly experienced endoscopist who is accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA). Dr Nalliah is also a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a member of General Surgeons Australia (GSA).

Dr Nalliah completed his undergraduate and basic surgical training in Sri Lanka. In 2008 he moved to Australia where he underwent advanced general surgery and laparoscopy training. During his advanced surgical training in Australia he has worked in both regional and tertiary hospitals in Queensland and Western Australia.

Dr Nalliah's passion extends to teaching and sharing his knowledge with surgical trainees, junior doctors’ medical students, and. He is currently a senior lecturer in Surgery at the University of Queensland. He is currently practicing in Sunnybank Private hospital, Brisbane. His commitment to continuous professional development ensures his patients always receive high standard, the most up to date and evidenced based care.
