Dr Sim Yee Ong

Dr Sim Yee Ong is an experienced consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, and holds a current senior medical staff appointment at Eastern Health. She was awarded the prestigious NHMRC scholarship and completed her PhD through the University of Melbourne, studying the effects of treatment for haemochromatosis patients with moderately elevated iron levels.

Sim is affable, approachable and speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese.

She has keen interests in managing liver diseases including hepatitis, fatty liver etc.,  general gastroenterology conditions such as iron deficiency anemia, functional gut, gastro-oesophageal reflux diseases and participates actively in the national bowel screening programe and performs both quality gastroscopy and colonoscopy for privately insured and uninsured patients.
