Dr Sneha Parghi a specialist Gynaecologist and one of the Directors of Maven Centre, a specialist womens health practice located in St Albans. Her medical experience combined with a personal approach to patient care ensures that every woman she sees feels empowered to make decisions about their bodies and health.
As a female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and a mother of three, Sneha believes in providing supportive care for her patients in an open and honest manner. She will ensure that all her patients are cared for - and listened to - so that they can make an informed decision.
Dr Parghi has obtained a fellowship of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and is skilled in providing a wide range of minimally invasive procedures including but not limited to:
• Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
• Laparoscopic Myomectomy
• Resection of Stage 4 endometriosis
• Hysteroscopy, including hysteroscopic resection and endometrial ablation
Experience
Sneha is a Member and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2006.
Sneha has worked in Brisbane at the Mater Mothers’, Logan and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospitals, and in Melbourne at the Royal Womens’, Northern and Sunshine Hospitals. Sneha spent her final years of training building on her skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery and completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery working under Dr Alex Ades, Dr Kenneth Leong and Dr Philip Thomas.
Sneha is an active researcher in the field of gynaecology. Sneha is also a mentor and teacher for O&G trainees and medical students. She actively and regularly participates in educational seminars for GPs and O&G registrars. Sneha is passionate about international health and has worked with Medecins Sans Frontieres and hopes to do further work in the humanitarian field in the future.
