Dr Tashi Zhaxiduojie

Dr Tashi Zhaxiduojie is a highly experienced consultant cardiologist with broad expertise in general cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging. His subspecialty interests include transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, and 3D echocardiography, as well as cardiac computed tomography angiography (CTCA). He has extensive experience practicing in both Australia and internationally, bringing a global perspective to cardiovascular care.

Dr Tashi completed advanced cardiology training overseas before relocating to Australia, where he undertook further fellowship training in imaging cardiology. He was subsequently awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He also holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Health Sciences from Curtin University, awarded with a Chancellor’s Commendation—an honour reserved for the top 5% of doctoral graduates.

He currently holds public appointments as a Consultant Cardiologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. He is also actively engaged in academic research and medical education at Curtin University, where his work focuses on innovation in cardiovascular care delivery, digital health, and heart failure management.

Dr Tashi is actively involved in clinical research with a focus on digital health solutions and the management of chronic cardiovascular diseases, including heart failure and hypertension. His research aims to improve care models and patient outcomes through the integration of technology, remote monitoring, and primary care optimisation. He has led and contributed to multiple investigator-led and collaborative projects, with findings published in leading international journals.
