Tatenda is a Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a Urologic Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) accredited Urological Surgeon with a special interest in urological cancers, benign prostatic enlargement and stone disease among other conditions.
Tatenda completed his medical degree at Monash University and post graduate diploma at University of Melbourne. He obtained his formal urology training at major teaching hospitals across metropolitan and regional Victoria, spending both his junior surgical resident years and Fellowship year at Austin Health in Melbourne.
As a keen academic with a view to advance the medical profession, Tatenda has published multiple journal articles, book chapters, academic blogs and presented at international academic conferences. Tatenda also serves on international committees including his current role on the Innovator’s committee for the Societe Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) and previously, as the President of the Young Urology Researchers Organisation (YURO). He is also actively involved in mentoring medical students and registrars in teaching hospitals.
Tatenda is a compassionate clinician committed to delivering high quality patient focused care. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family and is an avid sports fan.
