Dr Nguyen obtained her medical degree through the University of NSW and also holds a Master of Internal Medicine and Master of Global Health through the University of Sydney. She completed her specialist training in Neurology at Campbelltown and Liverpool Hospitals, with subspecialty training in Neurophysiology at Liverpool Hospital. She is currently undertaking further study and research with a PhD in the evaluation of peripheral nerve disorders in patients undergoing chemotherapy through the University of NSW.
Dr Nguyen’s scope of practice covers all general neurological conditions with a special interest in stroke and neuromuscular disorders such as neuropathy, myopathy and neurodegenerative disease. Dr Nguyen has expertise in neurophysiological procedures such as nerve conduction studies, needle electromyography and electroencephalography and performs therapeutic procedures including nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections.
Dr Nguyen is passionate about teaching and is a conjoint lecturer in medicine at UNSW. She has published multiple scientific articles and has presented at local and international conferences. Dr Nguyen is fluent in Vietnamese
