Dr Usman Khalid

Dr Usman Khalid is a senior Consultant Psychiatrist with over 17 years of experience in Psychiatry.

Dr Khalid moved to Darwin in 2009 and has mostly worked in remote psychiatry with the First Nations people.  Since 2016, Dr Khalid has been actively participating in clinical teaching with the Flinders NT Medical Program and has received several awards recognising his contributions to clinical teaching and excellence.

In 2022, Dr Khalid was awarded the Mark Sheldon Prize from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in recognition of noteworthy contributions to Indigenous Mental Health in Australia.

Dr Khalid assesses and manages adult clients with a wide range of mental health issues/ disorders such as Mood disorders, Anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, and Psychotic illnesses.
