Dr. Viju Joseph Abraham is a FRACS accredited Cardiothoracic Surgeon currently serving as a Consultant at multiple hospitals in Melbourne. With an extensive international career spanning India and Australia, he brings over two decades of medical expertise and specialized surgical training to his practice.

He has completed advanced fellowships at premier institutions, including The Alfred Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, and St Vincent's Health, Melbourne.

He has contributed to a number of peer reviewed publications and book chapters on topics ranging from total arterial coronary revascularisation to chest trauma management.

Thoracic & Specialized Procedures: Proficient in VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery) and open management of the spectrum of thoracic and lung disease.

Complex Trauma & Structural Repair: Experienced in rib fixation techniques and the management of flail chest and major airway injuries

Advanced Coronary Revascularization: Specialized in performing Off-pump CABG. He has also contributed research regarding early results for achieving Total Arterial Coronary Revascularization

Heart Valve Interventions: Complex multivalve interventions, mitral valve repair and other structural heart interventions
