Dr Yehia El Hgar

Dr Yehia El Hgar is an Interventional Radiologist at Liverpool and Sydney South West Private Hospitals in Sydney. He has completed a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Vancouver General and UBC Hospitals in Vancouver, Canada, after medical school and radiology training in Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. Dr El Hgar specialises in minimally invasive image-guided procedures, and has an interest in diagnostic and interventional oncology, and the advancement of radial artery access within the rapidly developing field of Interventional Radiology. He is also especially interested in embolization procedures including varicose veins, varicocele/ovarian vein embolization and prostate artery embolization.

He holds a Conjoint Lecturer appointment at the Medical School of The University of New South Wales, and regularly attends and presents at both local and international symposiums. He has a strong interest in research. He is a strong advocate of engagement and education, and as such regularly co-ordinates educational sessions for medical students, junior doctors and radiologists in training.
