Dr Hasan is an adult and paediatric ENT surgeon with further interests in Otology and Head & Neck Surgery. Originally from Sydney, he trained initially in General Surgery before switching to Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) which he completed in 2021 through the Victorian training program. He subsequently obtained post-fellowship training experience through Westmead Hospital in Sydney and Princess Alexandra Hospital. He received the Hugh Johnston Travel Fellowship, a combined scholarship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons/American College of Surgeons, allowing him to observe practice at the Otology departments in Duke University Hospitals in Durham, North Carolina, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts.
Since completing this training he worked as a consultant ENT surgeon since 2023 in a number of large tertiary hospitals in Melbourne including the Royal Childrens' Hospital, Alfred Hospital and Monash Health where he was previously supervisor of prevocational trainees at Monash Health as well as holding a Senior Lecturer role at Monash University. He has contributed to the academic literature with over 30 peer reviewed publications and 3 book chapters, and regularly attends and presents at local and international conferences. Most of all, having worked across a number of metropolitan and regional towns and cities in Australia, Dr Hasan is able to relate to patients from diverse backgrounds and settings and after a long journey across the country he has returned to his home in Sydney to start up his ENT practice.
