Dr Elizabeth Chow

Dr Elizabeth Chow is a gastroenterologist trained in all aspects of gastroenterology with a particular interest in endoscopic proceredures (upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy), inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer (genetics, screening and prevention).

After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 1998, Elizabeth trained in gastroenterology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre and was awarded her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2006. Elizabeth also completed her Doctorate of Medicine studies in the field of Colorectal Cancer and Genetics, University of Melbourne in 2006. Elizabeth worked as a Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology at Flinders Medical Centre, acting as the medical co-ordinator of National Bowel Cancer Screening program from 2007 to 2010. She maintains active research at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and Colorectal Cancer Medicine and Genetics with numerous publications including first author papers in prestigious journals such as Gastroenterology, Lancet, Oncology and Medical Journal of Australia.

Currently Elizabeth consults at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and privately at Melbourne Private Hospital.
