Dr Elizabeth Walker has practised medicine and lived in Hobart since 1989.

Liz has expertise and interest in perinatal psychiatry and has also worked with the Perinatal Infant mental health team at Royal Hobart Hospital. Liz also currently works in the Mother Baby Unit at St Helen’s Private Hospital where she has admitting rights and access to the Mother Baby Day Program.

Liz enjoys and values the team based approach
to enabling good mother baby attachment and working together to support families in the critical perinatal period.

Liz has experience in infant, child and adolescent psychiatry. She has worked with local paediatricians, psychologists and educators and has been involved in the care of children and families affected by serious chronic illness such as cystic fibrosis and diabetes.

Liz has a non-judgemental style of practising and is respectful and inclusive. She can provide assessment and advice regarding diagnosis and management, and/or ongoing management input as appropriate. 

Liz is available to see patients at St Helen's Private Hospital. Referrals are welcome pre-conception, during pregnancy and postnatally.
