Dr Emi Khoo is consulting at Suite 21 Sunnybank Specialist Centre and perform endoscopy and colonoscopy at the Sunnybank Private Hospital.
She is proficient in Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese in addition to English. She is very much looking forward to providing care to your patients and the Sunnybank community.
Dr Emi Khoo also offers a direct access pathway for patients to have endoscopy and/or colonoscopy without prior consultation if they do not have complicated comorbidities or morbid obesity. Please refer in the usual way but indicate on the referral a preference for direct access.
Dr Emi Khoo studied:
Biomedical Science at the University of Melbourne
Medicine at the University of Queensland
Completed basic physician training at the Gold Coast, Logan and Redland Hospitals
Gastroenterology training at Gold Coast, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the Mater Hospital Brisbane.
Subspecialist training in Inflammatory Bowel disease at the Mater Hospital Brisbane
Currently completing a PhD in IBD research.
She holds a public appointment at Redlands Hospital, and continues to teach medical students and junior doctors as part of an academic role with the University of Queensland and Griffith University.
