Mr Dyer completed his undergraduate training at The University of Melbourne in 1998, and then completed his post-graduate training at The Austin Hospital. He has managed care such as Breast, Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic, Gastrointestinal, Endocrine and General Surgery. Evan maintains a public appointment at Maroondah Hospital as a Consultant Surgeon.
