Dr Folorunso Oyekan

Dr Folorunso Oyekan is a Consultant Psychiatrist with a certificate in Addiction Psychiatry.

Dr Oyekan attained his medical qualification from the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. He underwent his psychiatry training in the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand. He is a fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of psychiatry. He is a qualified Generalist and Addiction psychiatrist. His special interests cover depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, anxiety disorders including panic disorder, OCD and PTSD; grief, adjustment disorders and substance use disorders and ADHD. In addition to his clinical work, Dr Oyekan also has an interest in medical education, teaching and education, mentoring junior and senior registrars.

Dr Oyekan works in the New South Wales public health sector. He also developed a thriving private practice. He is professional, compassionate and strives to deliver high quality evidenced based care to his patients. Dr Oyekan contributes to the Southwest Clinic with his unique experience of international and local psychiatry, bringing his knowledge from countries with the high standards of psychiatry, to his patients and colleagues.
