Prof Gary Hoffman

Prof Hoffman completed both his medical and dental qualifications at the University of Queensland.  He undertook two years of vocational (dental) practice, a year of Oral Pathology, successfully passed Part 1 and Part 2 FRACDS and then completed four years full time ANZAOMS accredited advanced training in OMF surgery at Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospitals.  He gained a further three years of Post-Graduate targeted tutelage (under Dr Frank Moloney) in orthognathic surgery and temporomandibular joint surgery.   

Having achieved specialist recognition as an OMF surgeon he unilaterally returned to further study and completed his medical degree (1996).  He achieved MMedSC (Surgery),  PhD (Surgery), and MD ( Head-Neck Surgery).  He also undertook four full time years accredited training (RCS) in the UK in a recognized maxillofacial units in London, Leicester, Portsmouth-Southampton, Coventry-Warwick.  This furthered his OMF skills generally, but most specifically in the area of Head and Neck Surgery.
