Mr George Koufogiannis

Mr George Koufogiannis is a highly experienced Urological surgeon with experience in all aspects of urology, upper and lower tract, voiding dysfunction including laser prostate surgery, urolift and rezum, Implant, continence surgery and urodynamics laser stone surgery, vasectomy, circumcision and robot assisted surgery.

Mr Koufogiannis completed his medical training at the University of Sydney and his post graduate qualifications in Victoria and NSW, culminating in the award of FRACS (Urology).

George completed his years of advanced training concentrating on urological cancers with focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques and has extensive training on male voiding dysfunction, laser prostate surgery, and stone surgery.

His fellowship year was centred on advanced laparoscopic techniques, implant surgery and open complex urological cancers. His post fellowship training has been in robotic surgery at world renowned centres in robotic surgery, University of Southern California, USA and Asian University in Seoul, Korea.

George is an actively involved in teaching the next generation of surgeons, is a member of the Academy of Surgical Educators and consistently participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, audit, and radiology and morbidity meetings.

Speaks fluent Greek - including medical terminology.
