Dr Georgina Davis

Dr Georgina Davis is a Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist working exclusively at Northern Beaches Hospital. She grew up, in and around the beaches however completed her undergraduate degree and medical training through The University of Otago in Dunedin and Christchurch School of Medicine. After completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology, her passion for O&G had truly been ignited.

Returning to Sydney, Georgina completed her training through the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Network spending time at RPA, Canterbury and the Tweed Hospitals. She was the Senior Registrar at Manly Hospital in 2017 and then at Northern Beaches Hospital in 2018. She returned to RPA for her final period of advanced training as an Obstetric Fellow to enhance her love and expertise in complex and high risk obstetrics and maternal medicine. She was awarded her Fellowship at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 2019.

Georgina has a keen interest in research and teaching and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the Macquarie University at Northern Beaches Campus. She was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2022. Her research in clinical obstetrics has earned her publications in peer reviewed journals and her presentations of her work have seen her awarded the prestigious RANZCOG Crown Street Medal on two separate occasions. In her role as a Staff Specialist, Georgina is an active mentor and supervisor to junior doctors as well as in a formal capacity as a RANZCOG Training Supervisor to the rotating trainee specialists.

Georgina is a specialist in low and high risk pregnancy; antenatal, birth and postnatal care. Her special interests include twins, medically complex pregnancies, vaginal birth after caesarean, as well as helping families navigate pregnancies after loss. She is committed to providing collaborative, up to date, evidence based and woman centred care. She is a supportive and empathetic practitioner and is delighted to be taking referrals for private obstetric care and gynaecological reviews at Northern Beaches Hospital.
