Dr Gordon Brown

Dr Gordon Brown is a highly respected and experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon with a special interest in the management of urological cancers and laser surgery of the prostate. He underwent specialist urology training in the UK and was trained in laparoscopic surgery at the prestigious Edinburgh Cancer Centre. After working as a consultant in Fife, Scotland, Dr Brown emigrated to Australia in 2017 and is now based in Brisbane.

Dr Brown is a leading expert in the use of laser enucleation of the prostate (LEP) using the new Soltive laser and is also a trainer for trainer for Olympus Australia in Laser enucleation of the prostate using the new Soltive Laser. This innovative pulsed thulium laser has been shown to be highly effective in both prostate and stone surgery, and Dr Brown is one of the few surgeons in Australia who is proficient in its use. He also provides expert care and treatment with enucleation of the prostate using the iTind device, a minimally invasive treatment that has shown excellent results in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Dr Brown is a passionate educator and mentor. He has held teaching positions at multiple universities in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, and is committed to training the next generation of urological surgeons. He is also actively involved in research and is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to improve the treatment of urological diseases.

Dr Brown is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Royal College of Surgeons, and is regularly invited to speak at national and international conferences.
