Dr Gordon Padovan

After completing his surgical training in Perth and obtaining FRACS in 1999, Dr Padovan spent a further five years undertaking advanced training in the USA. This included working at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, the leading Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre in the United States.

This Center included a multidisciplinary team of dietitians, psychologists, pulmonary experts, endocrinologists and plastic surgeons. Dr Padovan returned to Australia in 2005 and started his practice, Emerge Surgical. A key part of his plan was to reproduce the multidisciplinary team he had worked with in the US. Over the years since Emerge Surgical’s inception, Dr Padovan has been able to surround himself with members of staff skilled in the management of people with weight-related needs.
