Dr Howard Chan

Dr Howard Chan is a medical oncologist with a strong interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, gynaecological cancers and genitourinary cancers. He consults at Newcastle Private Hospital as well as Calvary Mater Oncology. He is also the Director of Physician Training at Calvary Mater Hospital. He is currently a member of the Hunter New England Clinical Cancer Research Network (CCRN), RACP Medical Oncology Advance Trainee Committee and Hunter New England Human Research Ethics Committee’s clinical trials subcommittee. He is currently a principal investigator in clinical trials involving genitourinary cancers, breast cancer and Phase 1b studies. He has previously worked in a corporate research organisation called PSI as a medical monitor.
