Dr Ie-Wen Sim is an endocrinologist and andrologist, who has a particular clinical interest in andrology, reproductive endocrinology, and metabolic bone disorders.
Ie-Wen graduated from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours. He completed endocrinology training at Western Health and St Vincent’s Hospital, before undertaking a clinical fellowship in andrology and reproductive endocrinology at Monash Health.
Ie-Wen is involved in PhD studies in the area of metabolic bone disease and is the recipient of the prestigious NHMRC postgraduate scholarship. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and is a reviewer for reputed bone and andrology journals. He has been an invited speaker at both international and national conferences.
Ie-Wen is an andrologist at Monash IVF and currently holds public appointments at Monash Health, Eastern Health and Western Health, as well as being a lecturer at the University of Melbourne and adjunct senior lecturer at Monash University.
He sees patients in all areas of endocrinology, including diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary disorders. Particular areas of expertise include male fertility, androgen deficiency, reproductive endocrinology, endocrinology conditions in pregnancy, and calcium and metabolic bone disorders such as osteoporosis.
