Dr Ignatius Gan is the Director of the Aged Care Assessment and Rehabilitation Unit at St Joseph’s Hospital and provides a consultation service to Auburn District Hospital. He is a Visiting Medical Officer at Norwest Private Hospital.
Dr Gan was a Consultant Geriatrician at Westmead Hospital from 1995 to 2009, where he was the coordinator for Geriatric Medicine teaching in the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.
Dr Gan is a graduate of the University of Sydney and completed his advanced training in Geriatric Medicine at Concord Hospital and Westmead Hospital. He received his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1994. With a commitment to education and teaching.
Dr Gan is a Lecturer at the University of Sydney and provides teaching in the graduate medical course at Norwest Private Hospital.
Dr Gan has a range of clinical interests including Dementia diagnosis and management, Stroke Medicine and Rehabilitation.
