Dr James Van Gelder

A/Prof. James van Gelder is a Neurosurgeon & Spine Surgeon and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

He is the director of Neurosurgery at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital, and the co-founder and director of the Sydney Spine Institute. He holds Conjoint Associate Professorship at the University of NSW and has served as a faculty member and teaching staff at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. His academic interests include Evidence-Based Medicine, Clinical Epidemiology and Biomedical Engineering.
