Associate Professor Jason Tye-Din is a gastroenterologist with expertise in the management of coeliac disease (including complex and refractory disease), gluten- related disorders, food sensitivities and intolerances, and gastrointestinal immune diseases such as eosinophilic oesophagitis and common variable immunodeficiency. His goal is to improve the health and quality of life of people suffering gastrointestinal diseases, particularly those caused by food. He is a medical graduate of the University of Melbourne and heads the Coeliac Research Laboratory at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.
Jason’s research has been widely published and has contributed to a greater understanding of how gluten is toxic to people with coeliac disease. He is a Principal Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Honorary Research Fellow at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and chairs the Medical Advisory Committee of Coeliac Australia. Jason is a dedicated professional who provides medical care of the highest standard with a compassionate, evidence-based approach.
