Dr Jenny Ho

Dr Jenny Ho graduated from the University of Otago, NZ and started working as a Junior Medical Officer at the Gold Coast Hospital in Queensland after graduation. She subsequently enrolled in O&G training and started her training at the Mater Mothers Hospital in Brisbane. Since then, Dr Ho has worked in hospitals around the south east corner of Queensland.

Throughout her training, Dr Ho worked in tertiary obstetric centres for three years, which provided abundant experience in obstetrics. In her final year of training, Dr Ho worked at the Greenslopes Private Hospital with gynaecology experts, which included urogynaecology, laparoscopy and IVF.

Dr Ho’s practice includes both obstetrics and gynaecology where she has a particular interest in laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Ho has a caring bedside manner and as a female obstetrician, she feels her patients are more comfortable discussing their medical issues with her.

Dr Ho provides a specialist procedural and surgical gynaecologist services at Sunnybank Private Hospital, which include:

• LLETZ ( treatment for abnormal pap smears)

• laparoscopic surgery (keyhole surgery):

  • removing ovarian cyst/ ovaries

  • removing ectopic pregnancy

  • hysterectomy (removing uterus)

• minimally invasive surgery for:

  • heavy periods

  • placement of mirena IUD

  • endometrial ablation

  • hysterectomy (removing uterus)

• pelvic floor and prolapse surgery

• incontinence surgery
